Ceramic Paintings of Ted DeGrazia

Art on a Different Canvas:

Ted DeGrazia was never one to be confined by tradition. His creativity spilled across every medium he touched, and in Ceramic Paintings of Ted DeGrazia, visitors can explore one of his most unique approaches; painting on ceramic plates and sculptural forms.

Opening September 5th, 2025, this new exhibit brings together an extraordinary collection of figurative works on clay. The pieces showcase many of DeGrazia’s most beloved subjects: children at play, graceful horses, ethereal angels, sacred madonnas, and even roadrunners and petroglyph-inspired designs. Each ceramic painting is a meeting of earth and fire, color and form, capturing the spirit of the Southwest in a tactile, lasting way.

The exhibit will be on view through January 28th, 2026, in the Gallery’s distinctive adobe setting, where DeGrazia’s handmade surroundings echo the timeless quality of these works.

An opening night reception will be held Friday, September 5th, from 5–7 p.m. Wander the gallery’s historic halls, enjoy light refreshments, and be among the first to experience this rare collection of DeGrazia’s ceramic paintings. The reception is free, and the public is invited.
