Little Gallery Application Guidelines 2010-2011
Who may apply: New or emerging artists or groups of artists (five persons or less). All mediums are accepted for
consideration. Artists who have exhibited at the Little Gallery within the past two seasons are not eligible to reapply at this time.
Application deadline: March 31, 2010.
Materials required to be considered:

is no more than a single page, double spaced. |

A reproducible image of the artist or group. |

A reproducible image of a sample of the artwork to be exhibited. |
The reproducible images may be photographs or slides, or downloadable electronic reproductions. These materials may be
used, at the Foundation's discretion, on the Gallery in the Sun website.
Notification: Letters will be mailed on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, to notify applicants
if they will be invited for an interview, after which the final applicants will be selected.
Announcement of Selected Artists: The eleven artists selected to exhibit in the Little Gallery
during the 2010-2011 Season will be announced on our website on Monday, May 24, 2010. The assigned dates for
each of the selected artists to exhibit will be mailed on Monday, May 10, 2010. Each exhibit will be for 13 days.
Installation and Removal of the Exhibits: Each exhibit must be set up beginning at 1 p.m. on the Saturday
preceding the Sunday opening. When hanging artwork, only the chains provided by the gallery may be used to avoid damage
to the adobe walls. The exhibit must be removed, the Little Gallery cleaned, and the keys returned by 12 noon on the last Saturday of the exhibit.
Liability: Guest artists are responsible for all of their own property brought onto the Gallery in the Sun complex.
The DeGrazia Foundation assumes no responsibility for damage to or theft of the artists' work.
Standard of Conduct: Artists exhibiting in the Little Gallery are guests of the DeGrazia Foundation and are expected
to be worthy ambassadors for the Gallery in the Sun. As such, they are required to be respectful of visitors and staff, the grounds
and structures, indigenous flora and fauna, and the Little Gallery. This respect shows itself in the spoken word, in fair and honest
transactions with customers, and in treatment of the environment. Disregard of this standard of conduct will constitute breach of the
agreement, and the exhibiting artist or group may be asked to leave the Gallery in the Sun.
