DEGRAZIA FOUNDATION POLICIES REGARDING THE PURCHASE AND/OR SALE OF ORIGINAL ARTWORK

Gallery in the Sun is home to the world's largest permanent collection of original DeGrazia artwork. This collection contains over 14,000 original works and includes oils on canvas, oils on wood, watercolors, lithographs, serigraphs, etchings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, etc. The works in this permanent collection are on display for the public's education and enjoyment only and are not for sale. Occasionally a collector, an heir, etc. contacts the Foundation regarding an original DeGrazia that the owner would like to sell.

The Foundation, in accordance with its Accession Policy, considers a number of factors in deciding whether or not to make an offer for the artwork for inclusion in the permanent collection. These factors include:

1. Does the piece fill a vacant "niche" in the permanent collection? (Style, subject matter, time frame, use of color, etc.)

2. What condition is the piece in?

3. Can a reasonable accession price be negotiated?

If the Foundation decides that the piece would not fill a vacant "niche" in the permanent collection, the owner may ask the Foundation to:

1. Buy it outright for the Foundation to resell.

2. Take it on consignment. (Foundation usually charges the seller 35% of selling price)

The Foundation reserves the option to offer to do either of these, or to decline (to do neither).

The original artwork listed on the previous page was either purchased for resale, or is on consignment.

If you own an original DeGrazia work that you are interested in selling, either directly to the Foundation or by the Foundation on a consignment basis, we ask that you do the following:

1. Have the piece appraised by a Certified Appraiser in Fine Art to determine it's fair market value. For information about finding an independent appraiser contact the American Society of Appraisers at (703) 478-2228 or www.appraisers.org

2. Once you have the appraisal, contact the Foundation at (520) 299-9191 or (800) 545-2185 to set up an appointment.
